Folding Table è stato studiato come elemento di arredo per la serra aeroponica nell’Ipermercato Audastore Auchan di Torino. Grazie alla sua forma il bancone ha la possibilità di ruotare e può essere utilizzato per due differenti scopi: da un lato può servire come ripiano per dare la possibilità al consumatore di assaggiare i prodotti, dall’altro si configura come contenitore per cestini che servono per acquistare i prodotti. Il bancone, molto semplice e low cost, è quindi costituito da quattro pannelli in legno. I primi due ad angoli arrotondati permettono al bancone di ruotare, mentre gli altri due, che conferiscono stabilità alla struttura, fungono da ripiani e sono dotati di maniglie per facilitare la rotazione. Una bordatura in plastica protegge il legno dal diretto contatto con il piano di calpestio e protegge l’utilizzatore dagli spigoli vivi. Il progetto nasce in collaborazione con Agricooltur, un’azienda agricola innovativa che fa uso di sistemi di coltivazione aeroponica che utilizzano acqua nebulizzata con sostanze nutritive per alimentare le piante.

Folding Table has been studied as a furnishing element for the aeroponic greenhouse in the Audastore Auchan Hypermarket of Turin. Thanks to its shape, the counter has the ability to rotate and it can be used for two different purposes: on one side it can serve as a shelf to give the customers the opportunity to taste the products, on the other side it is a container for baskets that are used to buy the products. The counter, very simple and low cost, is made up of four wooden panels. The first two with rounded corners allow the counter to rotate, while the other two, which give stability to the structure, act as shelves and are equipped with handles to facilitate rotation. A plastic edging protects the wood from direct contact with the walking surface and protects the user from sharp edges. The project is born in collaboration with Agricooltur, an innovative agricultural company that make use of aeroponic cultivation systems which use sprayed water with nutrients to feed the plants.
